Aerie's Observation Deck Lookout over Woodley Park

blue telescopes on Aerie’s observation deck overlooking the treetops, rooftops, and long skyline views across Woodley Park and Northwest DC.

DC from a Different Angle

High above Woodley Park’s tree canopy, Aerie’s Observation Deck gives you a clear sense of how elevated the neighborhood really is. From the railing, you look out over layers of brick buildings, rooftops, and a wide band of green that stretches toward the horizon, rather than into the side of another tower.

The deck itself is straightforward: wood-look pavers underfoot, glass railings to keep the view open, and square tables with woven chairs lined along the edge. It’s easy to picture using it for coffee, a laptop break, or integrated into an elegant gathering in the nearby private dining room.

Two blue telescopes pick up where the view leaves off. They let you zoom in on nearby architecture, trace the edge of Rock Creek’s greenery, or simply get a better read on how the city sits around you. It’s a small detail, but it makes the deck feel more like an intentional lookout than a typical roof terrace.

For residents, the Observation Deck is less about spectacle and more about orientation. It’s a place to step outside, see the scale of Washington DC from a stunning vantage point, and come back inside with a better sense of where you are in it.
